February 2008 - I am searching for any information and an old photo of the old house that once stood on the Cooper Farm.  This is down Cooper Farm Lane which is just past Sportsman Neck Road of Route 50 south of Queenstown. This farm once was called "Overton" or "Four Chimneys" and was owned by the Willson family.  They lost it in the 1860's when it was sold to Ogle Tilghman.  philtdc@yahoo.com

May 2008 -  I am trying to determine who the father was of Nicholas Bateman. Nicholas was born about 1786 in Centreville, Queen Anne's County, MD. and he enlisted in the Army (War of 1812) on May 24, 1813 from Centreville. There appears to be five Bateman's that took the Oath of Allegiance in QA County in 1778; Christopher; James; Michael; Samuel and Nathaniel. I am hoping to connect Nicholas Bateman to one of these individuals so that my wife can submit an application to the DAR. Can you help or suggest where I might find that information?

July 2008 - I am searching for proof of any kind of colonial military service John Covington. He was married to Mary Airey.  His daughter Elizabeth married Thomas Everett and this couple moved to NC about 1770.  Thomas Everett served in the Rev. War and received a pension for his service.

April 2005 - I am looking for information on my great-great grandfather, SOLOMON SPEAR.  He is mentioned Dr. Rhode's book on Queenstown as running the hotel and livery at Chester House in 1860.  Dr. Rhodes mentions that he died in 1863/64.  I did find him on the 1860 census, but that's all that I can find.  Any suggestions?  Betty Popp  BPopp42768@aol.com

June 2005 - I am looking for Any Smith families who lived in Queen Anne County, MD. 1850 or even perhaps earlier. My husbands Great Grand father was living with a Charles Smith family as a laborer in the 1850 census. His name was Levin H spelled Ricketts in the census. September 2005 - I am researching the family of David Sylvester, who was 52 at the time he was included in the Queen Anne's 1870 census. He was my ggg grandfather. Married to Susan Coy, of Delaware. I know there was an earlier David, who might have been his father and was mentioned in the 1790 census, and an even earlier Andrew and Joshua in Tuckahoe Hundred, Queen Anne's County  in the 1778 census, though no ages were included. October 2005 - Looking for information on Blunt Family from QA & Talbot Counties.  Joseph Vincent Blunt b. 1884 QA Co. d. 1945 buried Wesley Chapel Cem. Rock Hall, Kent Co. MD.    My understanding is that Joseph V. Blunt married 1st. Sadie M. Blunt d/o Noah Blunt and they had two children: Joseph Edgar Blunt b. 1910 and Mildred Blunt b. 1913.  Joseph V. Blunt m. 2nd to Hester Price and they had a son, Daniel Raymond Blunt b. 1926. I have trace this Joseph V. Blunt back to his father who was Benjamin Blunt b. Mar 1842 d. Mar 1919 and his wife Sarah L. Walters.  According to census records his real name was Richard Benjamin Blunt, but he went by Benjamin Blunt s/o Joseph Blunt and his wife Anna Maria Larrimore.  I have been able to figure out that Joseph Blunt b. abt 1805 died after 1860 and Rebecca Blunt b. abt. 1795 and a Benjamin Blunt who died 1838 where all siblings.  I would like to determine who the parents of these three children were. January 2006 - I have been told that David Lollar (Lawler) was born in Queen Anne's Co. in 1767.  Supposedly he was in the Rev. War.  He married a girl, Phebe Dunham in New Jersey and had a large family which he brought to Warren Co. Ohio where he died in 1807.  Phebe remarried to a man named William McCristy.  She had no more children. November 2006 - I am interested in finding any pictures or descriptions of Carter Creek on Kent Island that might describe water depth, working docks, oyster off loading, etc.  I've been told that a newspaper ran an article of the Tower Gardens subdivision project back when it was first being developed.  Supposedly, there is a picture accompanying the article of the project developer on his large boat docked in Carter Creek.  Do you have any information regarding this? I went a bit farther back in history and found that one Dr. Carter and one J. Cockey had houses on or near Carter Creek.  The time period was around 1866.  I tried to track down any family members on the internet but was not successful.  I was hoping to contact them to see if they had any old pictures or drawings of Carter Creek that might indicate water depth and use by showing boats docked or moored in the creek. December 2006 - I have been doing some research for a couple years now and am having some problems locating a lot of family in Queen Annes County.
The name are Lewis and Lloyd so of course they are common names. I do know they attended Stevensville Methodist
Church and a lot were buried in Stevensville Cemetary. I was wondering if you could let me into any better direction. I could not locate any church records and not sure where other family that passed before 1890, when the Stevensville Cemetary was being used as a cemetary, are buried. January 2007 - I am researching Peter Scott is listed in the 1880 census as living in Dixon, Queen Anne's County. He bought  a peach orchard in 1879, had one bumper crop, but sold it in 1881. June 2007 - I am researching Samuel Elijah Osborn(dob ABT 1798) and wife Rebecca (dob Abt 1805).  Born in Maryland, married in Queen Anne Count, 1825.  Three known children William McConnigal Osborn dob 1826, Eliza Jane Osborn, dob 1832 and Mary Ann Osborn dob 1835.  After 1835, family moved to Missouri.  Samuel reputed to be ship’s carpenter.  Any idea on how to obtain birth certificates for children?  Any suggestions appreciated.  Elaine Boston  lboston@bellsouth.net

-- Edwin Meredith, born c1816 in Maryland, died bet. 1870-1880 in Maryland.  Married Sarah Worthington (c1820-?) on 21 Jan 1840 in Queen Anne's Co., MD.  He appears in the US Census in Queen Anne's Co., in 1850, 1860, and 1870.  He and Sarah had the following children: Mary E. (born c1840), William (born c1844), Catherine (born c1849), Job (born c1853), James E. (born May 1857), Thomas (born c 1859), and Frances J. (born c1862).-- James E. Meredith, born in May 1857 in Maryland, died bet. 1920-1930 in Maryland.  His wife, born in September 1854, probably in Indiana, was listed as Martha J. in census records, but his descendants say she was called Adele.  James appears in the US Census in Queen Anne's County in 1880, 1900, and 1920.  He and Martha/Adele had the following children: Martha (born July 1879), Sarah V. (born July 1880), Frank A. (born c1881), Gertrude B. (born November 1886), Berth F. (born June 1889), James Chester (born 14 May 1891), Earle (born November 1893), Casper (born September 1896), and Tisha (born December 1898).
